Class 442 Network SouthEast Wessex Electrics
The cab front and interior styling was by Michael Rodber, and built by BREL at Derby’s Litchurch Lane Works in 1988 for Network SouthEast’s newly electrified line to Weymouth.
Curved windscreens, concealed jumper-cables and moulded skirts beneath the buffers add a touch of elegance not previously seen on Southern Region multiple-unit stock.
The units were styled with the Network SouthEast livery in mind and brought style and modern creative comforts and were considered to be the Rolls-Royce of the Southern network.
Printed on 200gsm Tintoretto
