SBB CFF FFS Re 420
The most common electric locomotives used by the Swiss Federal Railways are the Re 420 Bo’Bo’ electric locomotives also know as Re 4/4. 303 were built between 1964 and 1985 by SLM Winterthur, BBC Baden, MFO Zurich and SAAS Geneva. The 420s are used for both passenger and freight services across Switzerland, and are sometimes paried with Re 620 locomotives especially in mountainous regions.

Die 420er werden sowohl für den Personen- als auch für den Güterverkehr in der ganzen Schweiz eingesetzt und manchmal mit Re 620-Lokomotiven verglichen, insbesondere in Bergregionen.
